Linda White was born and raised in Long Beach, California and earned a Bachelors of Arts degree from California State University, Long Beach. She received her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was awarded the Neil Welliver painting prize awarded each year to a graduating student for excellence in painting.

Her paintings have been exhibited in Philadelphia, New Jersey and New York. They are in the permanent collections of museums, universities and libraries, including the New Jersey State Museum, Princeton University, Rockefeller University, the Newark Library print collection, Prudential Life Insurance Co., General Electric Co., United States Trust Co., the U.S. embassy in Japan as well as in many private collections.

Linda White lives in Balboa where she has a studio on Main Street. She and her husband Tod enjoy cruising aboard their sailboat, Seascape.
